SL Packaging develops, produces and distributes high-quality steel packaging systems.
Our UN-approved packaging is mainly used for hazardous goods, but is also suitable for many other filling goods. With modern, cost-optimised manufacturing processes and equipment, we realise individual packaging solutions according to the wishes and requirements of our customers, taking into account the increasingly restrictive legal regulations regarding hazardous goods. However, reuse and complete recycling and sustainability also have a high priority at SL Packaging.
SUPPLY WITH SAFETY
We are a long-standing and reliable partner for the chemical industry as well as for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Our service begins with the selection of the right packaging. We answer the question of which packaging material is suitable for which product. In addition, we provide competent support for questions about legal framework conditions, filling and handling.
Competent employees who identify with our values, who are masters of their profession and an organisation that offers scope for individual customer care are the basis for our good business relationships.
From our production site in Herford, we not only serve the German market, but also supply customers in other European countries. Customers in Overseas also know the importance of our highly secure special packaging, who receive their first filling in such a way in America or Asia.
A quick response to our customers’ requirements is important to us and sets us apart from the competition. For us, “just in time” is not a buzzword but a philosophy to which our entire production is geared with the shortest possible throughput times.

SL Packaging can look back on a company history of over 100 years in the manufacture of steel packaging. We apply our experience in a quality-conscious manner, as customer orientation is our top priority.
SL products are manufactured from high-quality materials using state-of-the-art production methods. Our raw materials are processed in compliance with the highest quality requirements (certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and ISO22000:2018). Furthermore, highly motivated and efficient employees characterise our company.
A practised “Kaizen” system ensures the continuous improvement of our processes and procedures, which constantly moves us forward and thus ensures higher customer satisfaction from year to year, but also internal process optimisation.
